Morning Prayers

I pray that my alarm is kind and somehow stops the world from spinning for 5 extra minutes of rest.

I pray that the coffee is strong and resilient.

I pray that this little boy has this much energy through his day of learning, as he did through half the night.

That he’s open-minded today. And willing to try.
To try new tasks.
New games.
New foods.
New signs.

I pray for help to remember all the things.
Breakfast.
Packed lunch.
Snacks for reinforcements.
Masks.
Communication devices.
Chargers.
Pull-Ups.
Meetings.
PATIENCE.

To get to every place I’m needed, safely.
And maybe even on time, God willing.

And all through the day, I pray that this littlest love of mine knows just how loved he is.

That he knows that every morning, those 5 extra bonus rest minutes or not, I will be here. For him. For us. To do all that we need to do.
That we GET to do.
Because my biggest prayer of all was answered, the day I got to be his Mommy.

…Also, one more prayer for more coffee. Yes, coffee.
💤

Happy Monday, party people. If you’re on the struggle bus today (or any day) just know I’ll always be there to greet you on it. You’re not alone.
