We all need somebody.
Who is “your person”?
Who do you call when you’re having a difficult time?
When you need advice?
Or just an ear?
And maybe even more importantly, who do you run to when you want someone to share in your joy?

Did your loved one learn to tie shoes? Complete a newly learned task? Make a friend? Say their first word/phrase? Or learn some sign language?
Share with us, all the things. Often times we deliver comfort, joy, and maybe even a glimpse of hope to others without even knowing it.

We stress over and over that it truly takes “a village”. That it is all hands on deck, when it comes to parenting in general, and even more so for special needs circumstances.
With various devastating events that have happened in and out of our immediate community recently, I just want to take the time to give a MONUMENTAL “thank you” to my “tribe”.
To everyone here following this blog. And to the mama’s that I can reach out to when I’m scared, nervous, happy, excited, and everything in between. The professionals that love on my son like they do their own children. And the family that we have that continually respect our family decisions, are willing to learn, and hear us.

Everyone has those days that they aren’t quite sure how much longer they can go down that seemingly lightless tunnel. But I want to put it on record right now that if you ever need someone to reach out to, someone to listen, or someone to vent to, I am here.
Is your loved one learning something new in school/therapy? Share it!
Are they showing some new aggressions/frustrations? Share it. (It is ALWAYS okay to also share “the hard”)!
My hope is that we can create a community here of respect, understanding, and LOVE. I appreciate every single person that is here to follow our family challenges and triumphs. We are going to change the world, one day at a time. And I firmly believe that.
